So… there’s technically two Los Angeles baseball teams. The Dodgers. And of course the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim (stupid name, I know). I had the pleasure to watch the two teams compete at Angel Stadium tonight.
When it comes to these teams I actually have no particular preference. I should theoretically root for the Angels since I grew up in Garbage Grove. I also kind of hate Los Angeles (the city and environment overall). If I were to root for the underdog, I would definitely choose the Angels. If it was about the stadium and food overall, Dodger Stadium is much superior in my opinion (Dodger Dogs are longer and tastier). The Angels did have a movie I enjoyed particularly growing up though called Angels in the outfield.
That being said, when it comes to watching baseball, I don’t particularly care about the sport. It’s more about the ambience for me and who I’m surrouding myself with. I much prefer the calmness and serenity of baseball over the cocky and arrogant aggressiveness of football. In the end, it’s a sport, but a much less jock-ish sport than others, and for that I will forever be eternally grateful.
