My favorite sound in a classroom happens to be silence. This does not happen too often in a middle school classroom. However, this year I’ve discovered a miracle solution.
Having the students put on headphones while using their chromebooks while watching a video on Edpuzzle and answering questions = the magic formula for a quiet classroom. I like to save these types of activities for Fridays where students are usually more energetic and annoying.
Here’s hoping I continue to develop new and creative solutions to destroying the chaos present in the lives of middle school students.
