On February 19th, I married the love of my life, Katherine Pham. It was truly a dream come true, although the wedding didn’t go exactly as planned. Despite this, the unwavering support of our amazing groomsmen, bridesmaids, friends, and family made the day all the more joyful and memorable.
The excitement of the big day began with the arrival of the hair and makeup team at our home to prepare Katherine for the special occasion. While waiting with a mix of anticipation and anxiety, I grabbed some delicious Porto’s and Tastea for us to snack on. Eventually, I arrived with our groomsmen and day-of coordinator, Aubrey, who got hard to work setting up at Turnip Rose. The bridesmaids soon arrived, and Katherine joined them for some stunning photo shoots. Later, my family arrived, and we had a wonderful time taking pictures together. Katherine’s family arrived a little later, but we were still able to capture some beautiful moments shortly thereafter.

The ceremony went smoothly, although we experienced a slight delay of 15 minutes due to some attendees arriving late (which was frustrating, to say the least). Nevertheless, the ceremony was short, sweet, and precisely how we envisioned it. Our guests enjoyed both Seven Leaves, generously provided by my niece, and cocktail hour drinks, before we proceeded to take more stunning photos at the nearby Vineyard. We got some delicious appetizers as well, my favorites being of course the sliders and the tomato shooters.
Unfortunately, Katherine was exhausted from wearing high heels all day, so we took some time to rest and recharge before heading to the dinner reception. However, our wedding party exuded high energy and grace as we made our grand entrance into the dining area.
We proceeded with the dinner program, which included a fun game of Kahoot that Katherine’s cousin won, earning an AMC gift card as a prize. After some heartfelt speeches, there was a brief interlude where we changed into traditional Vietnamese attire and made our way around to each table to greet our guests.
As the night progressed, we sipped on drinks and relaxed, making us more comfortable as the festivities continued. This led to our eventual first dance, which was filled with chaos and laughter.
After cutting the cake (almost flipping it over in the process) and tossing the bouquet, we spent the rest of the night dancing joyfully and taking countless pictures in the photobooth. As the night drew on, it became a bit of a blur, but the magic of the evening remained just as vibrant.

I can’t express how grateful I am to everyone who attended our wedding. It was truly a special day that we will never forget. I want to give a big shoutout to our amazing photographer Karl Verkade, who captured every moment beautifully. 10/10 stars. The venue, Turnip Rose, was exceptional and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, from the mouth-watering appetizers, to allowing us to be super flexible with what we wanted on our big day. 10/10 stars. Our photobooth, run by Han Entertainment, was a huge hit and added an extra element of fun to the day. 10/10 stars And of course, I can’t forget to thank our wonderful officiant Annie Tran, who made us laugh even if some of her jokes went over our guests’ heads. Last but not least, our friend Colin Yamashita did an incredible job as our DJ, keeping everyone on the dance floor and creating an unforgettable atmosphere. Overall, it was truly the best day of our lives (so far) and we are so grateful to everyone who made it possible. Can’t wait to do it again whenever we renew our vows in 25-50 years.

Hi Mr. Tran!
