It’s offically the one year anniversary of my blog here at wordpress, which means I will try to parallel it as closely to the first ever post I put on here.
In carrying out with my desires from approximately one year ago (give or a take a few hours), I started blogging much more this year – being as specific as possible, and as vague as possible (depending on what the event deemed necessary).
Maybe I should look back on my blog and “actually reflect” on how much progress I have made as an individual this year. I’ll do that…. later.
First, let’s talk about school. I register for courses next Monday, and I have no idea what I’m going to take. Most likely a combination of communications, history, and law and society courses. I decided consciously to apply for WCSC and a student legal services internship for next year. Both my interviews are next Friday (*Crosses finger). If I get both I’ll be super busy next year with WCSC, SLS, EH&S, ICRA, NRHH, ASK, PAW, WAVE, & Green Campus. Abbreviations for the win. [That’s only if I get it though…. I’ll keep you all posted]
I went tutoring today, and let’s just say it was…. very strange. Because California State Testing is going on, the normal classroom in which I tutored were busy testing so I wasn’t allowed in the room. Instead, I ended up tutoring another 4th grade class…. which had a troublemaker. It basically came down to 5:2 tutoring, with me and a fellow tutor (melissa). 3 of the kids did their work, but 2 kids were particularly obnoxious. Sam didn’t want to read. He kept making jokes. Apparently, he’s the class clown. SIGH. He’s a smart kid, the only problem is he didn’t want to read or try in life. I can see parallels between him and some of the people I knew in high school, but I guess it’s his loss. In the end, the two kids got in trouble when the teacher would send them both to the principle’s office. ~DUN DUN DUN~
In television news, American Idol sucks this year. Literally. The only contestant I care about is Lee Dewyze, who ironically sang “Falling Slowly'” with Crystal Bauersox as a duet (which Kris Allen, whom I supported last year also sang). It’s probably a good sign. Plu I made a bet with John Torres if Lee wins he’ll dye his hair green, and if Crystal wins I’ll dye my hair blue. I’ll keep you updated on that as well.
In other news, Glee is going well, although I’m going to have to miss next week’s meeting due to the Rezzies. (BUT Neil Patrick Harris is going to be on, which is okay I guess). I’m excited for their Lady Gaga covers coming on later this season.
PS: People need to stop making a big deal out of the Miley Cyrus video of her dancing with Adam Shankman. He’s 44 years old, but he’s also gay, so I think that overrides. PS: When Rachel Berry sang the climb, I was in heaven.
Finally, 24 is going to end this year. With only 3 episodes left, the clock is ticking.
Finally, SUN GOD IS TOMORROW! I’m looking forward mostly to Michelle Branch (BREATHE), Relient K (WHO I AM HATES WHO I’VE BEEN), and b.o.b (AIRPLANES). YEAH!
Now, I’m going to end with an unprecedented posting. Here are links to my personal favorite blog of each month from past to present!
